Manitowoc has announced several new additions to its tower crane sales team for the Asia-Pacific region. The six new personnel will help Manitowoc provide more focused customer interaction throughout the region for its Potain brand.
John Stewart, Manitowoc's senior vice president for Asia (outside China) and also general manager for the company's Singapore operations, said the new appointments will allow Manitowoc to increase its focus on both new and existing customers in Asia.
"The addition of these experienced and well-qualified team members to our sales force has positioned us to cover our customer base and develop new relationships in the region," he said. "Our expanded team will help us grow and become even stronger in Asia-Pacific. The new team members all have strong experience that will help them provide the service and customer care that Manitowoc customers expect."
The most recent of the new appointments is Victor Chan who is appointed to the position of sales director of tower cranes for Asia-Pacific (outside China). He will provide sales leadership to the Singapore office and will report to John Stewart. He most recently worked at tire company Trelleborg SEA Pte. Ltd., and prior to that spent 14 years at Ingersoll Rand in a variety of roles, working in new markets and developing dealer networks. Chan is based at the Manitowoc office in Singapore.
Manitowoc has also appointed two new regional sales managers, both who will be based out of the Singapore office and who will report to Victor Chan. The two new appointments join Peter Choong who has been at Manitowoc for the past year working as a regional sales manager for Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and major account Manta Equipment in Singapore.
First of the new appointments is Steven Ng, who has rejoined Manitowoc as regional sales manager for tower cranes in Asia-Pacific (outside China). He has previously worked with Manitowoc in a similar capacity, a
